The UAE government has significantly broadened the 10-year Golden Visa programme, adding two major new eligibility categories: licensed freelance professionals and social media content creators with a verified following of 500,000 or more. - Content Creators & Influencers: Social media accounts with a minimum of 500,000 verified followers on a single platform (Instagram, YouTube, TikTok or X). Accounts must be active with posts within the last 90 days and primarily English or Arabic content

How to Apply in Dubai
Applications are submitted through the ICP Smart Services portal (icp.gov.ae) or in-person at an Amer Centre or DNRD typing centre. Processing time is typically 5β10 working days. The total government fee is approximately AED 2,800. The Golden Visa sponsor dependency eliminates the need to be tied to an employer for residency, giving holders full freedom to work, invest, or freelance independently.
